Software
Releases
Applied Data Systems, Inc. released the new Applied Data WORKS™
application. WORKS™ is an entirely web-based work order management
and reporting system including support for multiple part storerooms for campus and
multi-building site deployments. Management roll-up reports provide managers
with real-time access to performance metrics and support dynamic drill-down
to the underlying data. Please contact the sales team for more information.
Applied Data Systems, Inc. has released Version 1.2 of its Trial
Drawings enhancement for the ARCHIBUS™ Furniture and Equipment
Module. The enhancement permits the facility planners to work with only a
select number of workstations at a time, instead of the entire floor. This
permits more than one facility planner to work on separate projects on a
floor at the same time. The program copies the assets out to a separate
drawing while maintaining the link to the database. This will permit
comparative counts of different alternatives. Please contact the sales
team for more information.
Applied Data Systems also updated their Housekeeping
Administrator software. The primary enhancements include:
1.
Easier to use interface
2.
Support for multiple alternative schedules
3.
Support for digital images of task steps
4.
The ability to specify the location of the data files.
Users under support
contracts or part of the ADSI developer program will receive free upgrades.

Case
Studies
In this space we will be providing links to Case Studies of implementation
work performed by ADSI. The case studies will be selected to highlight how a
specific facility function can benefit from automation. They will also seek
to show you how to integrate many of the facility management functions into a
single integrated system. Where a single application is not capable of
meeting the needs we will show you how to connect multiple applications into
a shared information system.

Employment
Opportunities
A career in facilities management automation is a very technically
challenging and satisfying choice. The world of management revolves around
information. Those who can understand the acquisition and analysis of the
information in the decision making process are capable of substantially
reducing the fixed costs of an organization. In facilities management, this
means saving real dollars in: rent, employee moves, and maintenance operations.
Applied Data Systems,
Inc., for the past 22 years, has focused its efforts on the development and
implementation of information systems for facility and asset management applications.
