Applied Data Systems Completes Acquisition of Fine Arts & Software
Combined company to deliver software and services from four offices across the US
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - May 08, 2007 – Applied Data Systems, Inc. (ADSI) today announced
the completion of its acquisition of Fine Arts & Software, Inc. (FAS). The transaction was finalized on Friday,
May 4, 2007.
The combination of ADSI and FAS creates one of the largest and most sophisticated
ARCHIBUS™ business partners in the United States. The acquisition brings together some of the most talented
programmers and consultants to create a team with vast expertise implementing Total Infrastructure and Facilities
Management (TIFM™) solutions. The move accelerates ADSI's strategic initiative to provide turn-key TIFM solutions
to the Infrastructure Management community.
"I believe TIFM implementations will continue to increase in complexity and sophistication
over the next several years," said Howard Shotz, former President of FAS. "Clients are looking for implementation
partners with experience, a solid technical team and a proven track record delivering complete, sophisticated
implementations. I believe ADSI can provide that level of service."
This week the company will begin executing the planned integration of the two companies'
operations, networks and customer care organizations to ensure a smooth transition and immediate value for customers,
partners and vendors.
Management of the combined company includes executives from both organizations. Linda Filippi
continues as chief executive officer and James Filippi remains as president. FAS President Howard M. Shotz has joined
ADSI as a Vice President. FAS employee Dr. Jens Martinsen has joined ADSI as a Senior Programmer, FAS employee Robert
Faure has joined ADSI as a Senior Implementation Specialist and FAS employee Kirsten Swenson has joined ADSI on the
professional services team.

Finally, A New Option
Facility managers continue to
struggle with the costs of buying software, training staff, and creating a database
that gives them the results they need. As the power of facility management systems
has increased, so too has the cost of software and the level of commitment required
to be successful.
ADSI introduces ASSET-FMTM
as a solution for people who need access to information but wish to avoid the burdens
of funding, building, and maintaining a functional system.
ASSET-FMTM service
lets ADSI carry the burden for you. We coordinate the right mix of off-the-shelf
products and custom tools to design an internet solution that is right for you.
ASSET-FMTM allows the
central management of your database through use of the internet. Data is located
in a central location and accessed via the internet through the use of any web browser.
By making ADSI the librarian for
your system, you no longer require the support of your own information services
department and can defer most of the up-front costs normally associated with CAFM/CIFM
system implementations.
